The Trauma Survival Guide Part 3: Are the Father’s Arms Really Safe?

When the night season descends upon our lives and we find ourselves surrounded by sorrow and trials, we would all like to imagine that our faith will hold us fast and that we will feel God’s presence more strongly than ever. But the reality is often more confusing than this.

Traumatic experiences take us out of control and often shake the foundations that we have built our lives upon. While trauma has the potential to bring us closer to God, it can also have the opposite effect and lead to a crisis in faith.

This video – the third in the “Trauma Survival Guide” series – takes a look at the complex relationship between faith and trauma and offers some perspectives on how to enter into a relationship with the Father that will keep us safe in traumatic times.
